A SLASH LEADS TO ANOTHER
We can easily split the air, the water, the crowd, but with even greater ease the soul and the heart. On the other hand we can also shell out for a little word of apology to have criticized a slashed element that we find in each art fair at the bend of an aisle, on a corner wall.
This practice of often punctuating the space with one or two slashes on canvas, is an old tradition of hanging that reveals a hidden meaning.
The one to remind us that the Art we love or hate, always suggests to split the difference.
A piece for those who pay to have a slash on the wall, the other for those who laugh at those who love slashes.
